For the care and maintenance of the products, we invite you to follow the precautions reported on these pages. In particular, for fabrics, we refer to the recommendations of the manufacturing companies.
Guide to materials
Plastics | Maintenance of Plastic Materials
Plastic surfaces should generally be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth soaked in water. We do not recommend the use of dry cloths which, with rubbing, could electrostatically charge the plastic surface, attracting dust. For more stubborn stains, mild liquid soap can be diluted in water in moderation. Absolutely avoid the use of acetone, trichlorethylene, ammonia or detergents that contain even only a small amount of these detergents, as they can dull the gloss of the surfaces. Likewise, avoid all abrasive substances such as powder detergents, abrasive pastes, steel wool or rough sponges. Avoid dragging objects on surfaces that can scratch the material. Also remember that plastic materials cannot withstand direct heat sources on the surface, such as direct contact with pots and pans.
Metal | Metal Maintenance
Both the metal surfaces in steel or aluminum and the painted surfaces must be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth soaked in hot water; for more stubborn stains, it is possible to dilute neutral liquid soap in water, in moderation. Always dry after cleaning with a soft cloth or chamois leather. Do not use creams and pastes to clean steel ovens, do not use chlorine, do not use bleach and other aggressive detergents. It is not recommended to use abrasive pastes, scouring pads and abrasive sponges that can scratch metal surfaces. Use: pay attention to food stains such as coffee, fruit juices, cola which if not removed immediately can leave indelible stains on the surface.
Wood | Wood Maintenance
Clean with a soft, damp cloth dipped in warm water. Always dry after cleaning. Immediately remove any liquid substances or other residues to avoid absorption. Use: wooden surfaces, being a natural material itself, may undergo color changes with use and over time. Remember that woods cannot withstand direct heat sources on the surface, such as placing pots and pans directly on the surface. Long-lasting exposure could alter its color.
Fenix | Fenix Maintenance
The Fenix® NTM® surface should be cleaned regularly, but does not require any special maintenance, just a cloth moistened with warm water or mild detergents. Almost all regular household cleaning products or disinfectants are perfectly well tolerated. In case of dirt that cannot be cleaned with normal household detergents, non-aggressive aromatic solvents can be used. Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes or other metal tools to remove stains, paint, plaster or other substances.
Laminate |Laminate maintenance
Cleaning and maintaining the laminate in good condition is a rather simple operation, given its anti-static characteristics (it does not attract dust) and the protective layer it is equipped with that protects it from stains, bumps and scratches. Generally, for ordinary cleaning, a soft cloth with a specific detergent or a microfiber cloth can be used. For stubborn dirt, a glass cleaner and soft brushes or sponges can be used; subsequently it is mandatory to dry the traces of the detergent, so as not to leave opacifications or streaks.
Marble | Marble Maintenance
For daily maintenance, use a soft cloth and neutral detergent diluted with water (liquid dish detergent). A subsequent rinse with water is recommended. Our top for indoor use are supplied with a stain-resistant (water-repellent) protective treatment, but it is still good practice to intervene promptly by drying any liquid deposits, in order to avoid absorption and consequent formation of stains. Warning: impacts can cause detachment of the stain protection; alcohol and acid and basic products can attack the surface of the marble making it opaque; avoid using steel wool pads or abrasive products that could alter the shine of the shelf; avoid using sharp or pointed tools.
